(previously known as Home Improvement Fans' International WebRing)

Due to the recent migration and technical changes in Webring, this HIFI Webring is now HOME IMPROVEMENT FANS INTERNATIONAL NETRING. We have changed our services and it is now hosted by Ringsurf. Existing HIFI should notice that their site information has been entered automatically for them. Members will only need to change their ring codes to reflect the new changes. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

To Join

  • Make sure that the content of your page is at least 50% HI-related. Your page should be anything related to the show or to any (one or more) of the cast members. Fan club pages of the cast members are also eligible for the HIFI Netring;
  • Get the zipped files of the HIFI Netring image;
  • Add the HIFI Netring HTML snippet that is provided in your confirmation e-mail (sent right after you register) into the web page you registered. You may also get the HTML below to your homepage.

STEP ONE - Register

By law, we cannot collect personal information on anyone under the age of 13. Because of this we do not allow anyone 13 or under to Join a RingSurf Net Ring, or become a Ringmaster, and thus we are forced to ask you to specify your birthdate. If you are under the age of 14, you may not become a member of RingSurf. You may use the Ring Directory and use any existing ring, you just may not start a new ring, or add your website to an existing ring. STEP TWO - Wait for reply

Wait for an email containing the HTML codes needed to put into your page.

Please put the codes in the page that you registered in the webring.

Make sure the ID number in the codes matched the one you get. If not, change it.

If you didn't receive the email within one day, e-mail vipontv@hotmail.com or get the codes in this site.

STEP THREE - Get the HIFI Netring images

Get the zipped file of the images, and save it in your website directory. There are four color combinations to choose from:

Images for white-background websites -- WHITE
Images for black-background websites -- BLACK
Transparent images for light backgrounds -- WH_TRANS
Transparent images for dark backgrounds -- BL_TRANS

You need WinZip to unzip all the files. If you do not have one, get one now.

When you're done, the link and images should look like this (if you're using white background):

STEP FOUR (LAST!) - Wait for verification

Although a spider will automatically check whether your HIFI Netring codes are valid, I will want to look at your page to make sure it has HI-related content. If there's anything that should be modified, I will e-mail you. If your site checks out okay, you should then receive an e-mail notifying you've been added.
